What happens when paintings become music?

A Gallery in Sound invites listeners to experience art and music as one immersive journey, led by award-winning pianist Yutong Sun.

Presented by ARC Sudirman, the performance will feature Mussorgsky’s masterpiece Pictures at an Exhibition, inspired by an exhibition of works by Viktor Hartmann and transformed by Mussorgsky into vivid musical scenes for solo piano.

After earning major accolades, including First Prize at Jaén and Second Prize at Santander, Yutong Sun has taken his solo career to renowned venues worldwide, performing with leading orchestras under acclaimed conductors.

Alongside Pictures at an Exhibition, the programme also features a selection of piano repertoire that highlights Sun’s poetic sensibility, bold storytelling, and commanding technique.
