🏳️‍🌈 It's Pride Month! 

Come and celebrate LGBTQ+ communities with a literary and culinary workshop honouring Marcel Proust! 

[Event in English and French]

Marcel Proust, a homosexual French writer who lived during the Belle Epoque, is well known for his masterpiece, In Search of Lost Time, in which he explores the Parisian upper society of his time. 

In the first volume of his work, Swann's Way, one can find his most famous extract in which Proust describes how he gets overwhelmed by childhood memories while he eats a small cake: the madeleine.

The saying "Madeleine de Proust" even entered French language to express a profound nostalgy when encountering something from our past.

The workshop will consist of several steps:

1. Making the madeleines
2. Reading the extract, then writing down a souvenir connected to food
3. Decorating the madeleines

Each participant will take home six madeleines.

🏳️‍🌈 A l'occasion du Mois des fiertés, nous vous proposons de célébrer les communautés LGBTQ+ avec un atelier littéraire et culinaire spécial Marcel Proust !

Marcel Proust, écrivain français homosexuel de la Belle Epoque, est connu pour son oeuvre gigantesque, A la recherche du temps perdu, dans laquelle il explore la haute société parisienne de son époque.

Dans le premier volume de la saga, Du côté de chez Swann, figure son extrait le plus célèbre : la madeleine de Proust. 

Proust y décrit les souvenirs de son enfance qui ressurgissent lors de la dégustation d'un petit gâteau.

L'atelier se déroulera en plusieurs temps :

1. La réalisation des madeleines
2. La lecture de l'extrait puis la rédaction d'un souvenir en lien avec la nourriture
3. La décoration des madeleines

Chaque participant repartira avec trois madeleines.
