Let's Swing - Amenangi's First Recital Concert
Tandjung Sari Foundation proudly presents the debut recital of Amenangi Sadali Nitisara Wawo Runtu, an 11-year-old young musician born and raised on the island. Trained in both classical and jazz traditions, Amenangi brings to life a dynamic programme featuring Bach’s Concerto No. IV (1st–3rd movements), Rachmaninoff’s Élégie, Brahma Intermezzo in A major, Op. 118 No.2. , Rameau’s Les Sauvages, and Beethoven’s Sonata Pathétique, Op. 13.
“Let’s Swing” is one such moment—a recital that captures the joy, discipline, and spirit of a young artist stepping into his own voice. Guided since age six by classical pianist Justina Tjandra, and later mentored in jazz by Nita Aartsen, Amenangi’s playing bridges precision and play, innocence and brilliance. Whether in the structure of a sonata or the spontaneity of a jam, each performance is a sincere offering—shaped by hours of daily practice, deep listening, and quiet wonder.
At the heart of this performance is the Amabile Chamber Orchestra—a chamber of eight seasoned string players comprising violinists, a violist, cellists and a double bassist. Their collaboration with Amenangi offers more than accompaniment; it forms a rich, intergenerational dialogue where experience and new energy meet.
More than a recital, Let’s Swing is a personal and cultural milestone—a celebration of homegrown talent, and a bold invitation to Bali’s communities to experience classical music through a fresh and joyful lens
