Joshua Redman
ARC Sudirman is honored to welcome acclaimed American saxophonist Joshua Redman to perform his latest studio album, Words Fall Short, with his new quartet.
For more than three decades, Redman has shaped the language of modern jazz, earning multiple Grammy nominations and cementing his legacy of sound. His world growing up had been revolving around music, with a saxophonist father, Dewey Redman, and dancer mother, Renee Shedroff. Choosing the tenor saxophone as his primary instrument came naturally at a young age, and today, he has released over 20 albums as leader and co-leader throughout his career.
This October, Redman brings his latest musical chapter to ARC Sudirman.
Released on Blue Note Records in 2025, Words Fall Short introduces a new quartet featuring pianist Paul Cornish, bassist Philip Norris, and drummer Nazir Ebo. The album brings together previously unheard original compositions, shaped through months of touring and developing a shared musical language as a working band.
Moving through moments of wistfulness, sadness, spontaneity, and resolve, Words Fall Short captures the essence of what has defined Redman's career: music that remains rooted in the tradition of jazz while continually searching for new possibilities within it.
Join us for an evening with one of contemporary jazz's most distinctive voices, as Joshua Redman and his quartet bring Words Fall Short to life on stage.
